  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1 cup almond milk
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup fruit jelly (your choice)
  • Powdered sugar for dusting

Instructions

Follow these steps for perfect results

  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a donut pan.
  2. In a large bowl, whisk together the flour, sugar, baking powder, salt, and nutmeg.
  3. In another bowl, mix the almond milk, vegetable oil, and vanilla extract.
  4. Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and stir until just combined.
  5. Fill each donut mold about halfway with the batter.
  6. Use a spoon to add a small dollop of jelly in the center of the batter.
  7. Cover with a little more batter to fill the molds to about 3/4 full.
  8. Bake for 12-15 minutes until golden and a toothpick comes out clean.
  9. Let the donuts cool for a few minutes before removing them from the pan.
  10. Dust with powdered sugar before serving.
